    About The Heart Lab

    Know your heart

Train Smart. Play Strong. Know Your Heart.

    Mission

    Heart-smart athletes

The Heart Lab empowers student-athletes with accessible, evidence-based cardiovascular health education so they can better understand their hearts, recognize potential warning signs, build healthy habits, and know when to seek medical help.

    Vision

    A culture that speaks up

We picture teams where every athlete knows the warning signs, every coach has a rehearsed emergency action plan, every family knows its heart history, and reporting a symptom is seen as strength — not weakness.

    How we work

    Our content standards

    Evidence-based

Content draws on public guidance from organizations such as the AHA, CDC, NHLBI, AAP, and ACC. Every page lists its sources.

    Clinically reviewed before launch

All medical content is marked “Clinical review: pending” until a qualified clinician has reviewed it. We never claim a review that hasn't happened.

    Education, not diagnosis

We don't diagnose, assess fitness, or determine sports clearance. Simulations are clearly labeled as illustrations.

    Built for every level

Learning paths for middle school, high school, and college athletes, plus resources for parents and coaches.

    Encouraging, not frightening

We focus on empowerment and action. Stories are fictional composites and avoid graphic content.

    Privacy-first

No accounts, no ads, no trackers. Learning progress stays in your browser.

    Medical disclaimer

The Heart Lab provides educational information and does not replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or sports participation clearance. In an emergency, call 911 (or your local emergency number).
